Climate Change
Defenders of Wildlife
As our planet continues to heat up, conditions on Earth are becoming more unpredictable, shifting wildlife behaviors and pushing species closer to extinction. I developed this script and flow of imagery to show how Defenders is focused on climate change.
Policy Explainer: Gray Wolves in the U.S.
Defenders of Wildlife
The decision to strip gray wolves of their federal protections was nothing less than a betrayal of wildlife and of the advocates who have spent decades helping bring wolves back from the brink of extinction. I drafted this script and worked with the animators to bring it to life.
How Does Pollution Affect a Child’s Test Scores?
AU School of Public Affairs
The time between conception and birth is perhaps one of the most vulnerable life stages, during which the environment may have tremendous immediate and lasting effects on health. I wrote the concept and oversaw the creative direction of this video series.
"Bold" Parrotfish Help Keep Coral Reefs Colorful
The Pew Charitable Trusts
No-take marine reserves, where fishing for parrotfish is prohibited, may make coral reefs six times more resilient to coral bleaching and other disturbances. I wrote the concept, conducted the interviews and promoted this video series One Minute Dive.
Tiny Fish Endure Big Collapses - How We Can Help
The Pew Charitable Trusts
Populations of tiny forage fish, such as herring and sardines, fluctuate naturally and sometimes collapse. This can have harmful effects on the fishing industry and on larger animals (including whales, tuna, birds, and seals) that depend on forage fish for sustenance. I wrote the concept, script, and worked closely with graphic designers, scientists, and animators to bring it to life.
